GENUIN production "DARK LUX" as collective listening theater on Deutschlandfunk radio

On July 24, 2021 at 10:05 p.m., the production DARK LUX will run as a collective listening theater on Deutschlandfunk.

The subject: the abysses of the human soul. The dark and evil runs through the project in all possible facets, writes Deutschlandfunk. "It encounters the listener as a cryptically gloomy sound collage, as a musically underscored short story, as a dance number that could run at a haunted fair, or as a distorted arrangement of music from the Renaissance and Baroque."

Just under an hour long, the surreal audio piece features electronic sounds, whispers, chants, field recordings and improvisation by LUX:NM, Gordon Kampe, Jan Brauer with texts by Sarah Trilsch Gylje. The ensemble LUX:NM recorded the piece in the chamber music hall of Deutschlandfunk in Cologne.
