The work "Scholium Secundum" by Norwegian composer Dániel Péter Biró has been nominated for the "Composition of the Year" award by the Norwegian Composers' Association (Norsk Komponistforening). Out of 90 works submitted, an international jury nominated a total of 20 works for the award.
The composers' association awards a total of 3 prizes for works premiered in the period 2020-2022 by composers who work with sound and music as an art form or who deserve to be recognized for their special quality.
The complete work "Scholium Secundum" was premiered in 2022 with Klangforum Heidelberg and Ensemble Aisthesis under the direction of Walter Nussbaum. GENUIN recorded the piece in February 2022 in the auditorium of the University of Bergen. The CD is expected to be released in fall 2024.
The composer Dániel Péter Biró is currently a guest in our recording studio to put the finishing touches to the recording together with our sound engineer Michael Silberhorn.
